Band Boosters

The AHS Band Boosters are the fundraising arm of the band.  Members are parents, grandparents and friends of our student musicians.  We meet the first Monday of each month throughout the school year.  The first meeting is the final day of band camp.  Meeting agendas and minutes can be found on the Secretarys Page and the schedule is located on the band calendar page.  We encourage each of you to attend and take part in the decisions that affect our students.  As you may know, APS does not fully fund the band, therefore it is up to us to do so.  Our yearly budget is in excess of $40,000 each year.  We raise between $15,000 & $20,000 per year, over and above your student's band fee.  This money pays for music, equipment, band trips, transportation, entrance fees, drill writer, personnel, and a variety of other band related expeses.  The band fee for the 2010-2011 school year is $300 in three easy $100 installments.  Visit the Band Fee FAQ page for more information about the band fee and to pay online!!.  If you pay all at once, it is only $275.
