Music Performance Assessment (MPA)

This is a required concert for all students in concert band, symphonic band, and wind ensemble.

What to Wear/Bring:

• Your instrument
• Your music
• Your uniform

Concert Band:

• Dress black

Symphonic Band:

• Full Concert Uniform

Schedule:

• 1:45 pm – Meet in the band room in concert uniform
• 2:40 pm – Load the buses
• 3:00 pm – Arrive at Manzano HS
• 3:30 pm – Concert Band Warm Up
• 4:00 pm – Concert Band Performance
• 4:30 pm – Concert Band Sight Reading
• 5:00 pm – Symphonic Band Warm Up
• 5:30 pm – Symphonic Band Performance
• 6:00 pm – Symphonic Band Sight Reading
• 6:30 pm – Dinner Break
• 7:30 pm – Wind Ensemble Warm Up
• 8:00 pm – Wind Ensemble Performance
• 8:30 pm – Wind Ensemble Sight Reading
• 9:00 pm – Students put instruments away. Load the buses.
• 9:30 pm – Students move equipment into band room, dismissed by ensemble
